Based in Cook County, Judge Megan Goldish presides over civil and criminal cases in the Domestic Violence Division. Judge Megan Goldish is an active member in her community and has dedicated much of her time to a variety of social and philanthropic causes, including the Illinois Holocaust Museum.

The Illinois Holocaust Museum has a rich history of both past and present exhibitions, as well as its own historical collection comprised of over 20,000 artifacts donated to the museum by individuals who directly experienced the Holocaust. In addition to the expansive collection and Holocaust-specific exhibitions, the museum also uses temporary exhibition spaces to delve into broader topics in relation to genocide and social justice outside the Holocaust.

The Zev and Shifra Karkomi Holocaust exhibition is currently ongoing. This exhibit explores the rise of Nazism and pre-war European life, as well as post-war Europe and the experiences of survivors who immigrated to Illinois. It also includes more than 500 artifacts comprised of items, photographs, and documents, as well as a German rail car reminiscent of the type Nazis used to deport Jewish people and others. In addition, survivor stories are beautifully intertwined throughout the exhibit. The visitors’ experience concludes with a film that explores the Holocaust in relation to other genocides globally.
