NSBA Foundation Helps Aspiring Legal Professionals in Financial Need
Serving with the Illinois Circuit Court of Cook County for roughly a decade, Judge Megan Goldish has a long history of membership and leadership in major national and regional legal associations. For example, she has been a member of the North Suburban Bar Association (NSBA) since 2011. Judge Megan Goldish has also served the NSBA as a president and vice president.
The NSBA is a group of attorneys, judges, and other legal professionals who are dedicated to supporting the legal community and improving the quality of legal services throughout Chicago and its northern suburbs. It has a history that stretches back more than half a century.
A charitable arm of the NSBA that exemplifies its dedication to legal education and professional advancement, the NSBA Foundation operates as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) financial aid organization. The fundamental mission of the NSBA Foundation is to identify individuals who have financial issues that are preventing them from entering the legal profession and then offering these individuals monetary scholarships to cover specific educational expenses. NSBA Foundation scholarships can cover testing fees and other costs associated with LSAT preparation, as well as law school application and enrollment fees.
